THE GREAT BEACH TRIP
|
A trip to the beach had been promised, as part of the Organisation's 2 year anniversary on 21 June. When the Solo Expats Association announced that they were arranging a weekend outing to the nearby beach of Pacitan , everyone was overjoyed to make it a joint trip with the Children's Refuge. This was a great opportunity to welcome the new children at the Refuge, make new friends and have some fun.
Michael and Rob from the Solo Expats generously offered to provide the accommodation and an evening barbeque. So on Saturday 26 July a very excited group of kids boarded a bus bound for the beach.

Latest News |
Yayasan Gunungan has been in contact with an American charity called “The Asia Project” regarding a project to provide books and school supplies to Asian children in need. We plan to work closely with this Charity to hopefully build a strong partnership relationship, possibly resulting in setting up library facilities in the city.
An English gentleman has asked if Yayasan Gunungan might be able to print and supply T-shirts to sell to the members of an organisation in UK . This will be a very good way to help raise funds for the Children's Refuge as well as spread the name of the Organisation.
If anyone has any other fundraising ideas we would be very pleased to hear them.

Please Remember:
We need all the support we can get.
There are only a few regular Donors and the current monthly Refuge costs are not yet being met. If we are to expand and provide a home for 50 - 100 children then we really need help to do this.
If you know anyone who might be interested in helping to support this project please pass on our contact details.
Thank you very much.
