| To celebrate National Children's Day the Solo City Mayor invited children from the local schools to a day of events at one of the city parks, “Taman BaleKambang”. The invitation was for 7am sharp, and as the clock ticked down thousands of children, including a bunch from the Gunungan Children's Refuge, waited expectedly for the arrival of the Mayor himself. |

| And that's just what the kids had to be, creative, innovative and superior in the face of challenges, as for the next 3 hours they waited ‘patiently' for the Mayor to arrive. There was, however, an added incentive for them to remain patient - as 6 brand new mountain bikes stood tantalizingly in front of the stage waiting to be claimed as competition prizes. |
