That evening, after everyone had washed off the salty sea-water we gathered on the beach for a bonfire. The kids baked potatoes, cassava and sweet-corn in the fire's embers, sang songs and relaxed after a hard day of swimming in the sea. The following morning, after a hearty breakfast, we set off to visit some caves which were close to the beach we were staying at. Near one of the caves was a small Hindu temple on top of a hill, which also gave a beautiful view of the scenic landscape around. As it started to rain we all raced for the bus, to return to the beach for a final night before the long journey back to solo in the morning. |
